Farkas Bakery by A.D.

I learned that some kind of Linzer dough does not fall apart because you keep adding flour, then roll the dough. Mr. Kroger was closed, but opened up just for Room 119. He made us some cookies, but the shape was round. The name of the bakery is Farkas Bakery Shoppe.

Farkas Bakery by Mrs. Hutter

In March, the students in Room 119, toured the Farkas Bakery on Lorain Ave. on the near-west side of Cleveland, Ohio. Interestingly, Ed Kroeger, the owner, is a graduate of Urban Community School. He also graduated from Xavier University which is my alma mater.
Farkas Bakery is an old-style European Bakery. Mr. Kroeger bakes the original recipes using some original equipment and some updated equipment. The baked goods are delicious and well-worth the trip to the bakery.
While we were there, he showed the students all of the ingredients and equipment. He even let them roll out dough! They had a wonderful time and learned alot about running a business.

Stellaluna by A. H.

I like Stellaluna, but it was sad. But it had a happy ending. I like the play and the book. Stellaluna is a fruit bat.

Stellaluna Review by N. B.

There were three birds. Their names were Flitter, Pip, and Flap. Stellaluna landed in a soft nest. I iked the costumes and there were songs and music. The play was long. My favorite characters were Flitter and the Great White Owl.

Stellaluna Characters by N. R.

Stella luna fell in a nest in a tree. There was an owl, Stellaluna, Mom Bat, Mom Bird, and the baby birds. TheMom Bat was happy when she found her baby bat, Stellaluna.

Stellaluna by A. D.

I did not like the Stellaluna play. It was boring. I did like the owl. It was scary. I thought the owl was funny. There was not enough action. I did like the bus ride.

The Stellaluna by J. W.

I liked the play. It was good. I liked the costumes. My favorite characters are Flap, Flip, and Flitter. They are my favorite because they are very funny.
